Lion in Winter

Steven Fenley and Pamela Vogel star as King Henry II and his wife, Eleanor of Aquitaine, in the Texas Repertory Theatre Company's The Lion in Winter. Written by James Goldman, Lion follows the exploits of the royal couple as they face off to determine who'll sit on the throne after Henry's death. Their three sons stand between them, each vying for the crown and each building, then breaking alliances. Fueled by sexual tension, anger and the lingering pain of old wounds, The Lion in Winter is a story of betrayal, regret and, ultimately, love. Matt Lentz, Seán Patrick Judge, Matt Hume and Caroline Menefee round out the cast.

7:30 p.m. Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 3 p.m. Sundays. Through February 17.
Thursdays-Sundays. Starts: Jan. 24. Continues through Feb. 17, 2013
