Hemingway's

David Rozycki
Like many Galveston bars, Hemingway’s has a lot of friendly, colorful regulars who like to have a good time; the 26 different craft beers on sale—11 on draft and 15 in bottles—help achieve this. Liquor is also available of course, and on Sundays, Hemingway’s employees cook food to share with customers. The goal is to find what the customers like the most and put together a small menu in the near future. There are also some crawfish boils in the backyard when the weather is warm and a stage set up for bands; currently the Zak Perry Band plays inside every Saturday starting at 9 p.m. Shuffleboard tournaments are held every Sunday at 2 p.m. and the Internet Jukebox can be turned up very loud and piped through the bar’s impressive sound system. The owner told us Hemingway’s aims to be a family friendly place that is warm and inviting to everyone.
