Nobie's

Nobie’s opened late November of 2016 in the space formerly occupied by Au Petit Paris on Colquitt and Shepherd, where casual cool Montrose technically collides with hip and trendy Upper Kirby and the comfortable affluence of River Oaks. Much like its epicentric location, Martin Stayer’s menu reflects what’s hot, what’s about to be hotter and what never goes out of style, with a charming staff and an equally charming vinyl playlist that keeps them coming back. Bar manager Sarah Troxell’s daily libations, always $10 each and usually sporting delightfully witty names, are not to be missed. Manager and sommelier Dom Ruiz always seems to be on sight to recommend a perfect pairing for the meal or at least the most interesting way to consume the vino. The small plates and appetizers are delicious; try the old-fashioned chicken liver mousse and steak tartare.
