Where Astros Fans Can Get Free Food: Updated for November 3

There was a lot riding on the Astros win, when it comes to getting free hot dogs in Houston anyway. Here are the guaranteed free bites you can get this week all thanks to the Astros' historic World Series win. We'll continue to update this list with more freebies and deals that roll in. Go Astros!

The Dunlavy, 3422 Allen Parkway


If you're already poking around Buffalo Bayou Park, take note. The Dunlavy is giving away free soft serve for everyone who wears Astro gear on Friday.

Coppa Osteria, 5210 Morningside

This Rice Village staple will be serving a $5 Astros Aperol Spritz all weekend.

Weights + Measures, 2808 Caroline

W+M will be offering happy hour all day, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. with $10 pizzas and cheeseburgers and half off cocktails, wines by the glass and draft beer.

FM Kitchen, 1112 North Shepherd


Half off burgers from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and happy hour pricing all day today, Friday, November 3. The eatery will also offer its  $5 8th Wonder Dome Faux'm and hot dog combo, and on top of all that, its hosting a World Series Championship Party starting at 11 a.m. with a free shuttle to City Hall for the parade and an airing of the parade on all its televisions as well.

Handing out free bean and cheese tacos during breakfast hours on Friday, November 3. One per customer.

Antone's Famous Po' Boys, 4520 San Felipe, 2724 West TC Jester,  3 Greenway Plaza, Suite C-118, 811 Louisiana, Suite M130A

On Friday, November 3, Antone's will offer its signature Original po-boy with chow-chow relish for 55 cents all day on Friday, Nov. 3. The promotion will be valid at Antone's four locations. One per person.

Bosscat Kitchen & Libations, 4310 Westheimer

A "Friday Funday" World Series celebration and parade watch party starts at 11 a.m. with $5 Texas beers, $8 Orbit Juice and $12 snacks including brisket dogs, ballpark burgers and brisket nachos.

Snappy Salads, 1920 Fountain View

The Fountain View location offers fans in Astros apparel a free Half Snap salad now through Sunday, November 5. Guests can choose any Half Snap menu salad up to $10.50, including the Texas Taco, BBQ Ranch Chicken or best-selling Grilled Avocado salad.

Hay Merchant, 1100 Westheimer

The Montrose beer hub is extending its regular special — half off Houston beers (usually only when a Houston team is winning) — for the following week.  Available all day, every day for seven days, beginning tonight, November 2.

Provisions, 807 Taft

The Montrose eatery is serving $5 hot dogs tomorrow, November 3, as well as happy hour all day. Pro tip: Provisions is a mile from the parade route, so guests who come in for lunch are welcome to leave their cars and walk or Uber downtown.


THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 2

Good Dog, 1312 Alabama, 903 Studewood

The Montrose and Heights locations of this Houston hot dog favorite will give out free hot dogs as paid for by Los Angeles wienery Pink's Hot Dogs on Thursday, November 2. You can thank a friendly bet between the two eateries for this freebie. Good Dog has announced on Facebook that each location will hand out 250 free dogs (one per customer).

Shake Shack in the Galleria, 5015 Westheimer

The Galleria location will give away free chili cheese dogs, according to the Chronicle, but there is a catch. It's available only to the first 50 customers today, November 2, and those customers must be wearing a piece of Astros gear.

Papa John’s Pizza, Houston locations

Papa John’s will offer online customers half-priced pizza all day on Saturday, November 4, with the promo code: ASTROS. Log on to papajohns.com to order.

Niko Niko's, All Locations

According to Facebook, you can get 55 percent off all gyros and Boutari wine on Thursday, November 2. No call-in or online ordering, walk-in only.

FM Kitchen, 1112 North Shepherd

One of the best burgers in the city will be 50 percent off today, November 2, also according to the restaurant's Facebook page. If you've never tried this better-than-Shake-Shack burger, now is the time.  Half off burgers all day on Friday as well, and the eatery will also offer its $5 8th Wonder Dome Faux'm and hot dog combo along with happy hour pricing at 2 p.m. after the parade. World Series Championship Party on Friday starts at 11 a.m., with a free shuttle to City Hall for World Series parade. Or stay at FM and watch it on all the televisions.

Frozen dessert spots Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt and One Stop Craving will hand out free frozen yogurt and sorbet, respectively, according to Eater Houston. Wear Astros gear to claim your freebie. Dessert Gallery, 3600 Kirby, will also have free cookies for the first 100 customers (they open at 11 a.m.).

Some Chick-fil-A locations are handing out free sandwich entrées to customers in Astros gear, according to the Houston Chronicle. Head to 8609 Westheimer and the Galleria mall locations on November 2, 10:30 a.m. to close, to cash in. Also, the Pearland location at 10105 Broadway will hand out sandwiches and eight-piece nuggets from 11 a.m. to close.
