It’s the year 2012, and according to some predictions, time for the end of the world. Big Head Productions is giving us a preview of the apocalypse with And I Feel Fine…: End of the World Shorts for 2012. Some 100 plays were submitted, with just 11 making it to the stage. One of the works is Leighza Walker’s Not That Into You, featuring the last two people on earth. “You’d assume they’d repopulate the earth, but there’s a problem,” says Walker. “She’s just not attracted to him — at all.”

The shorts range from two to ten minutes, and include a couple of conversations with God, a woman having a beer while she watches an asteroid hurtling toward earth, and a snowman apocalypse. Walker, who appears as the woman having a beer, also directs the snowman comedy. “It’s so funny. I almost gave it to someone else to direct because I was still giggling throughout the third rehearsal,” she says.

Walker has writing, acting or directing duties for nine of the 11 plays in And I Feel Fine… (Before you ask, yes, she also made the costumes.) “This is still basically a two-person operation,” she says, referring to Big Head. 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and June 13.
