Playwright Josh Tobiessen does what we all want to do just about now: He pokes fun at the elections. His satire Election Day gets a staged reading by the Back Porch Players today. In the play, Adam is trying to get to the polls to vote — something he has to do in order to stay on his politically passionate girlfriend’s good side. But for all his efforts, he just can’t get there. A horde of people, each with their own agendas, comes crashing in on him, making what should be a simple trip to the polls a seeming impossibility.
Today’s performance is accompanied by a catered dinner from El Meson restaurant.
