Best Immersive Art Exhibit: Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit Houston
There’s no beating the original. When Lighthouse Immersive and Impact Museums launched Lighthouse Artspace, located just outside Beltway 8 off I-10, they brought a flood of art immersion experiences including Claude Monet and Frida Kahlo…only to name a few…but the first was the most memorable: Vincent Van Gogh.
The Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit showed a new way to consume art to Houstonians. Guests witnessed a 360-degree experience that gave a one-on-one insight to the famed painter. Visually, his works blended seamlessly into one another in visual fashion that escapes words. You truly have to see it to get it, and any price paid to witness this genius masterwork is worth every cent. The soundtrack of George Frideric Handel, Édith Piaf and Radiohead’s Thom Yorke in the background provided the chef’s kiss to complete the array.
It was a dazzling display of lights, art, music and immersive experience that truly stands out as the next way to appreciate creativity, which is why Houston Press recognizes the Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit Houston as this year’s best immersive art exhibit.
