Blew Notes Trio with Abiodun Oyewole

Spoken-word artist Abiodun Oyewole appears today as part of The Blew Notes Trio‘s mixed-media performance at the Miller Outdoor Theatre. Blew Notes actually isn’t always a trio, but a loose collection of musicians and performance and visual artists. Oyewole is a founding member of The Last Poets. Organized in 1968, The Last Poets is a group of spoken-word artists who are considered by many to be the first hip-hop group. 8 p.m. Miller Outdoor Theatre, 100 Concert Drive.
