Proof of the existence of a loving God can be found in the fact that He allowed all the giant flying reptiles to die off before mankind existed. Even if we retain a deep fascination with the pterosaurs, the truth is, we would have been little more than snacks to them. The first vertebrates to develop flight, pterosaurs were a prominent species throughout the age of the dinosaurs. Some, like Quetzalcoatlus, named for the Aztec flying serpent god, had wingspans that rivaled those of modern airplanes. How and why did such massive beasts evolve to take to the air? Thatโ€™s the focus of Flying Monsters 3D, featuring Sir David Attenborough. Using cutting-edge CGI effects, audiences will be able to fly prehistoric skies among giant airborne reptiles. The innovative film is the first 3D documentary to win a BAFTA, which is nice, but somewhat pales in comparison to the honor of being the first film that lets you cruise next to pterodactyls in a jet using the full technological might of 3D IMAX.
