Houston artist Laura Braciale is in the matchmaking business. But sheยs not setting up lovers, sheยs pairing canvases with everyday objects. Her exhibition ยPropositionsย includes Bean Bag Era, a white canvas sitting on black bean bags. The canvasยs bottom corners are accented with blue-and-yellow rainbow shapes that seem to resonate between the bags and canvas. In other works, Braciale introduces wet soap to a painting of a tiled wall and wire shelving to painted grids. See what else she believes is a match made in heaven today.
