Othello is a big role, but it doesn’t usually require two men to perform it at the same time. In the stage comedy Lend Me a Tenor, Tito, an opera tenor, is set to perform in the role of the mad Moor. But when his wife finds an autograph seeker hiding in the closet of his hotel room, she assumes the worst and decides to leave him. Understandably distraught, Tito takes a double dose of tranquilizers and passes out. The show must go on, right? A bumbling assistant is put into blackface and pushed onstage. So far, so good – kinda. Then Tito wakes up, realizes he’s late for the show and rushes to the theater. Uh-oh. So far, not so good. A hilarious round of mistaken identities and plot twists ensue, making the Moor seem even madder than usual. 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 2 p.m. Sundays. Through March 7.
