Teens do more at the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston than just look at art ย— they exhibit art, too. The museumย’s sixth exhibition of work by local teens, ย“Perspectives 165: Contents under Pressure,ย” is centered on the theme of containment and containers. Artist Dario Robleto juried this yearย’s show, and he didnย’t have an easy time of it. More than 300 submissions flooded in, but in the end some 40 pieces were chosen. Paintings with seed pods, modeling paste and wire, portraits with the faces obscured by plastic, bandages and balloons, and a construction of twigs, tape, roof shingles and other found objects are among those that made the cut. Thereย’s an opening reception today from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Regular viewing hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays to Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursdays and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. 5216 Montrose.
