Girls gassing about girls ย— girls in love, girls at work, girls in therapy ย— thatย’s the premise behind You-Go-Girl: The Musical. The home-grown show, created, directed and choreographed by women, features a handful of actresses playing more than 50 characters, singing tunes about everything from mother/daughter relationships to what itย’s like to feel underappreciated. Houston writer Patricia Barry Rumble got the idea for a show celebrating all things estrogen, then persuaded her writing partner, composer and lyrist Yvonne Steely, that a musical about womenย’s issues was a pretty project. It took the mighty duo several years to finish, but now there seems to be no stopping the pair. They premiered their sketch comedy-style revue in February at Country Playhouse to sold-out houses, and this weekend, they open their second run in less than a year. Third Coast Comedy Theatre, 2317 W. 34th St.
