If you take pride in the Astros, Texans, Dynamo or any Texas collegiate athletic program (and LSU), then you could lose yourself admiring the original graphics, murals and banners of all sorts lining Big John's walls. Wednesdays are steak night, Thursdays are trivia, and Fridays bring live music to this self-described neighborhood sports bar. Saturdays and Sundays are devoted to whatever sporting event happens to be going on. Big John's full kitchen serves everything from chicken and steak sandwiches to "Sloppy Johns," shrimp po-boys and burgers.
