We have some great commenters here on Hair Balls, and it’s time we paid some damn attention to them.
So we’ll be highlighting a Comment of the Day each morning or afternoon from the previous day’s work. Maybe two comments, even.
This will all be determined by a highly rigorous scientific formula involving wit, clarity and whatever else we feel like at the moment.
Geeks went wild over the release of the iPhone5, which for us non-geeks is some sort of newer version of iPhones1-4 (we’re guessing).
Our resident tech expert was here to rate and evaluate, and readers chimed in about different aspects, including the wi-fi/wireless one.

I think that “oops, wi-fi is crap, we’ll go to cell for a while” is supposed to be an option iOS6 via Settings. TUAW mentioned it, I believe, from one of the beta releases, but it’s one of those features that Apple doesn’t think is sexy enough to publicize. (Kind of like in iOS 4 when they added Bluetooth AVRCP – it’s not a cool enough feature to really call out in bullet lists, but it made my life a lot easier…)
