Comments of the Day: What Will Remain of the Astrodome

We have some great commenters here on Hair Balls, and it’s time we paid some damn attention to them.

So we’ll be highlighting a Comment of the Day each morning, from the previous day’s work. Maybe two comments, even.

This will all be determined by a highly rigorous scientific formula involving wit, clarity and whatever else we feel like at the moment.

We noted that a media tour of the long-abandoned Astrodome is likely, hopefully, about to spark renewed discussion of what should be done with it for once and all.

It will go the route of Buff Stadium – On the walkway to an apartment complex swimming pool, you’ll see the outline of home plate with a plaque (long since crowbarred out of the ground) that once said “Home Plate – Houston Astrodome – Harris County Domed Stadium”.

more likely the home plate plaque will wind up underneath a texans season ticket holder’s f-150 getting barbecue, beer and puke stains…
