A man was found dead in the street on the northeast side Friday morning, and the police suspect foul play.
A driver passing by saw a body in the road at the 5400 block of Caplin and called police. Responders found the body of Jony Josue Benites-Lopez, 26, and pronounced him dead at the scene from a gunshot wound.
“Further investigation led police to a second crime scene located at 2200 Harwell,” HPD says. “There, investigators found items inside a Ford Explorer belonging to Mr. Lopez.”
They say they have no motive for the killing.
