Michael Hamby takes his barbecuin’ seriously, especially when it’s at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.
This year he took things a little too seriously, and when a rival barbecue team got into a dispute with him, he tossed a tear-gas cannister into their tent, according to reports at the time.
He was suspended from the force — perhaps even worse, he resigned from the Rodeo’s Calf Scramble Committee — and now he’s no longer a cop.
Fox 26 is reporting that Hamby has been terminated by HPD.
