After a significant amount of buzz on social media, a small group of demonstrators gathered at Houston’s City Hall for a police appreciation rally on Thursday. Organized by Charlie Diggs, the event boasted a group of supporters, wearing blue, support for police in the wake of protests and efforts to defund the police worldwide. A group of counter-protesters were also present. The event concluded earlier than anticipated with many counter-protesters remaining at City Hall for dialogue with demonstrators as well as police.
