| Killed in a road rage incident, police say |
A road rage incident on the southwest side left a 49-year-old man dead Tuesday afternoon, police say.
Theodore Mitsakos, 49, had gotten into a traffic altercation about 2:45 p.m. Tuesday while driving on the Southwest Freeway, the Houston Chronicle reported, and exited at West Bellfort.
Police take up the tale from there, and say Mitsakos was driving westbound on Bellfort while being pursued by two males in a pickup truck. They began shooting at him, and one bullet hit him in the head.
He was pronounced dead at the scene in the 11600 block of West Bellfort; his truck also crashed into an apartment building.
“The suspects are described only as two light-skinned black or
dark-skinned Hispanic males last seen westbound on West
Bellfort in a black Chevrolet or Ford pickup truck,” HPD says.
Anyone with information about this case is urged to contact the
HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
