After starting as a popular food truck by siblings Patsy and Benson Vivares in 2014, Sticky’s Chicken has established its first brick-and-mortar location in the Sawyer Yards community in the First Ward. With a special “sticky” sauce created by the owners’ father who grew up in the Philippines, this establishment has won a large following since its inception. The recent grand opening Saturday brought quite a crowd to the area with the first 50 customers getting free T-shirts and plenty of local celebrities in attendance. (Photos by Doogie Roux)
