CDMX Brunch Event at Late August

Inspired by the restaurant’s recent collaboration with Hola Houston and InStyle Magazine in Mexico City, Late August is kicking off its brand-new Saturday brunch series this Saturday, fusing Mexican and African American culinary traditions. Guests can sip cocktails like the Mexican Negroni and Sazerac while enjoying a one-of-a-kind brunch menu crafted by chefs Chris and Sergio Williams.

Weekend Brunch at Mi Luna Tapas Restaurant & Bar

Returning to the Houston dining scen at the Montrose Collective, the new Mi Luna has launched a new weekend brunch service, offered every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Guests can dig into sweet and savory Spanish and Moorish-inspired dishes—think Patatas Bravas, Moorish Pancakes with honey butter and almonds; Pan con Tomate with eggs and shaved manchego cheese; and brioche French Toast topped with vanilla custard and fresh berries. Wash it all down with sangria, espresso and more.

Sunday Funday at Aiko

Aiko’s Sunday Funday will feature $2 Prince Edward Island oysters, $7 martinis, half-priced wine bottles and two new crowd-pleasers: the Mimosa Flight and the Aiko Bloody Mary. Doors open at 11 a.m., and a live DJ will spin old-school vinyl from noon to 3 p.m. Reservations can be made on OpenTable, in-house, or over the phone at 832-582-7525.

Paella Sunday at Mutiny Wine Room

Mutiny Wine Room’s seasonal paella mixta will be on display on the patio, offered for $38 with seating times at 1, 4 and 6:30 p.m. Guests can watch as chef Eduardo Alcayaga cooks his famous seasonal paella over a live fire on the patio while sharing his expert tips, plus enjoy wine and appetizers by the outdoor heaters before sitting down to savor the main event. A Spanish Wine Pairing will be offered for $15 per glass and $56 by the bottle.

Smashburgers + Champagne at EZ’s Liquor Lounge

Along with Valkyrie Selections, EZ’s invites folks for a Sunday Funday featuring Smashburgers and Champagne. A $15 ticket earns you a smashburger and chips, with bubbles available for purchase onsite.
