Hip restaurant and vinyl bar 93′ Til,1601 West Main, is celebrating itsย 4-Year Anniversary and Holiday Party on Thursday, December 19 from 8 p.m. until close.ย In honor of the milestone, 93′ Til is featuring its new seasonal dinner and holiday cocktail menus and special promotions featuring Rosaluna Mezcal cocktails; alongside anย all-vinyl DJ soundtrack.ย Reservations are not required.
Taste Kitchen + Bar, 420 Main, is hosting an Ugly Sweater Happy Hour & Toy Drive on Friday, December 20 from 4:20 to 8 p.m. The restaurant will collect toys to donate to the City Wide Club, and folks can enjoy a Holiday Happy Hour with special under $10 prices and the chance to win prizes. Dig into cheeseburger sliders, $1 wings, lamb chops and smothered fries alongside $8 frozens, $6 wines by the glass and more.
On Sunday, December 22, join Brasserie 19, 1962 West Gray, as The Choraleers bring the holiday cheer with their live acapella Christmas carols while you enjoy mimosas and festive brunch bites. The live performance begins at 2:30 p.m.
With Hanukkah around the corner (the first night begins at sundown, Wednesday, December 25), Kenny & Ziggyโs New York Delicatessen Restaurant and Bakery, 1743 Post Oak, has introduced its Chanukah and Festival of Lights catering menus, featuring four different packages to feed groups and a vast ala carte menu with more than four dozen dishes plus a separate dessert menu. Order favorites from stuffed cabbage, brisket, kasha varnishkas, and fried kreplach and to matzo balls, potato pancakes with apple sauce, pastrami-cured salmon and sweet noodle kugel. All orders must be made at least 72 hours in advance. The restaurant will be closed for dining on December 25 but will be open for picking up pre-ordered food from 8 to 11 a.m. It opens for regular hours on December 26 and is open throughout Hanukkah.
Now through Tuesday, December 24, every meal or cocktail enjoyed at Mi Cocina, 4410 Westheimer, directly supports The Womenโs Resource and its mission to make a difference in the lives of women and girls around Houston. Also, on Friday, December 20 (National Sangria Day) from 4 to 5:30 p.m., local Big Brother star Makensy Manbeck will be making a guest bartender appearance, with an additional $1 from every Mambo Taxi donated to the charity.
Tacodeli is bringing back an authentic holiday favorite, the Chile en Nogada taco, and partnering with Bastrop-based sweet-slinger, The Bearded Baker, to supply sweet December desserts for guests across Texas. A taco spin on a traditional Mexican dish known for its vibrant flavors and colors, the Chile en Nogada special features a roasted poblano pepper filled Texas Wagyu Akaushi beef picadillo and all-natural walnut goat cheese crema, topped with pomegranate seeds and in a fresh tortilla. Holiday sweets offerings include a Margarita Cookie and Churro Blondie with decadent dulce de leche.
As the Texans face off against the Ravens and Beyoncรฉ performs at the much-anticipated halftime performance by Beyoncรฉ Knowles-Carter, watch parties will be going down at local bars Tipsy Lounge, 4806 Almeda; Urban Social, 3917 Richmond, and Rockhouse, 6025 Richmond. Hosted by the singerโs brand, SirDavis American Whisky, each event will feature SirDavis drinks specials, photo booths and a special viewing the game and half-time show.
