Belly of the Beast x Toga at Toga
Toga, 2800 Kirby, hosts Belly of the Beast for a two-night, eight-course tasting menu collaboration Monday, September 14 and Tuesday, September 15. Chef Thomas Bille, the 2025 James Beard Award winner for Best Chef: Texas, joins Toga’s team for the dinner, with the menu priced at $85 per person. A limited cocktail menu and optional beverage pairing will also be available. Reservations are required and seating is limited.

Cold Noodles Club at Eight Row Flint
Every Tuesday in September, Eight Row Flint Heights, 1039 Yale, hosts its Cold Noodles Club, offering cold noodle bowls from a rotating lineup of Houston chefs in collaboration with local nonprofit I’ll Have What She’s Having. Christina Ha of The Blind Goat will guest-chef this week, with bowls available from 6 p.m. until sold out. All proceeds will benefit preventive healthcare services for hospitality workers through IHWSH.

C-CAP Houston Launch at Bar Bludorn
Chef Aaron Bludorn will host a one-night chef collaboration dinner at Bar Bludorn, 9061 Gaylord, at 6:30 p.m., alongside guest chefs Nick Wong of Agnes and Sherman and Leonard Botello IV of Truth BBQ. The dinner marks the Houston launch of C-CAP, a nonprofit that provides public high school students with culinary education, career training, apprenticeships and scholarships. Tickets ($295+) are limited.
Mexican Independence Day
FLORA Mexican Kitchen, 3422 Allen Parkway, celebrates Mexican Independence Day with $10 LALO Margaritas and Chiles en Nogada available all day, plus evening entertainment including Baile Folklórico, live music and mariachi.
H Town Restaurant Group will offer all-day margarita specials at Hugo’s, Caracol, Xochi and Zaranda, including $10 Hugoritas and other signature margaritas plus buy-one-get-one-free Greatest Margarita Ever Sold cocktails. Zaranda hosts a Baja California wine dinner beginning with a 6 p.m. reception and 6:30 p.m. seated dinner. At URBE, a Mexican Independence Day Fiesta runs from 7 to 11 p.m. with four cocktails, Mexican street food and dessert stations, live mariachi, folkloric dancers, a DJ and photo booth for $85 per person plus tax and gratuity.
Johnny Rita’s, 5602 Fulton, will host a Loteria celebration starting at 6 p.m. Guests can get 50 percent off 1-pound fajitas and $45 frozen margarita pitchers before Loteria begins at 7 p.m. The $20 buy-in includes two cards and 10 rounds, with a prize awarded after each round and a cash prize for the final round.
Bourbon Heritage Month at The Finn
HiFi at The FInn celebrates bourbon with an interactive cocktail class featuring Unreined Whiskey from 6 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $36.64 and include guided cocktail instruction, all ingredients and tools, a welcome mini cocktail and two cocktails.

PlumpJack and CADE Wine Dinner at Brennan’s
Brennan’s, 3300 Smith, hosts a five-course wine dinner featuring Napa Valley wineries PlumpJack and CADE from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Highlights include bay scallop aguachile, pecan-crusted halibut, roasted quail, slow-braised beef cheek and chocolate meringue pie, paired with pours for $185 per person plus tax and gratuity.

National Cheeseburger Day at OMG! Burger
OMG! Cheeseburger celebrates the day with $5 burgers at all five OMG! Burger locations. For every five cheeseburgers sold throughout the day, the burger joint will donate one cheeseburger to people experiencing homelessness through SEARCH Homeless Services.

Extended Prix Fixe Menu at Doko
Doko, 3737 Cogdell, is extending its HRW prix fixe menus through September, with proceeds benefiting the Duckstache Foundation, which supports Houston-based organizations ifrom Southern Smoke Foundation to Rock N Hood. Lunch is $25 for three courses while dinner is $55 for four courses, with options including maki, chirashi don, gyudon, crudo and house-made desserts.
Hunger Action Month at Houston Food Bank
September is Hunger Action Month, and Houston Food Bank is spotlighting the growing challenge of food insecurity with this year’s theme, “The Cost of a Meal.” Throughout the month, Houstonians can get involved by donating, volunteering, advocating and learning more about the issues that make nutritious food harder to afford.
BOY(Bag) Walking Tacos at Stuffed Belly
New this September: Bring your own bag of chips to Stuffed Belly, 8133 Long Point, and they’ll turn it into a Walking Taco, loaded with ground beef, queso, house sauce, lettuce, tomato and pickled jalapeno, for $7.
Sky High September at Traveler’s Table
Traveler’s Table, 520 Westheimer Road, is offering a $50 three-course dinner menu through September 30, with $3 from each menu sold donated to Sky High for Kids. Choose from globally inspired dishes including mochiko chicken, Nigerian suya, jungle ribs, shrimp moqueca and butter chicken.
