Glam & Paparazzi at Tonyโ€™s

Tonyโ€™s, 3755 Richmond, invites folks to wrap up summer in style at this two-night affair channeling the glam of the MET Gala. Expect dancing, dining and surprise awards hosted by Kate McLean. Reservations are available via OpenTable.

Wednesday, July 30

Landryโ€™s Houston Chef Series

Landryโ€™s Inc. continues its Houston Chef Series, โ€œisland hoppingโ€ around the globe at its signature restaurants on select Wednesdays through August 9. Reservations are required, and prices range from $125 to $225 per person. This week, chef Frank Lewis presents the โ€œBeach House Wine and Cocktail Affairโ€ โ€” think turmeric marinated tuna, pernil with red beans and churrasco steak โ€” at Mortonโ€™s The Steakhouse Downtown, 1001 McKinney.

Fridayโ€“Thursday, August 7

Watermelon Week at Superica

Supericaโ€™s Watermelon Week returns, bringing a lineup of refreshing, watermelon-infused eats and drinks all week long starting Friday, August 1. Guests can cool off with a frozen or on-the-rocks watermelon margarita, try the sweet and spicy Mexican Candy cocktail,and dig into a fresh watermelon salad.

Saturday, August 2

White Linen Night in the Heights

Heights summertime tradition White Linen Night is back, with the official party going down on 19th Street from 6 to 10 p.m. Inspired by the French Quarter fest of the same name, the evening invites guests to dress in white and stroll through streets filled with live music, local bites and bevs, street performers and a lineup of artisan vendors. Tickets are $10 online or $20 at the door, with proceeds supporting neighborhood initiatives. Kids 12 and under get in free, and coolers and pets are welcome.

Christianโ€™s Tailgate, 2820 White Oak, is going all out for White Linen Night on Saturday, August 2, kicking off at 6 p.m. with no cover and free parking, plus karaoke at 7 p.m., a DJ spinning late, drink specials, food trucks and tons of photo ops.

EZโ€™s Liquor Lounge, 3302 White Oak, is getting in on the WLN action with live music from Western Jelly Band from 7 to 10 p.m. and DJ EV from 10 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., plus food from Ninfaโ€™s on Navigation, parkling lot fun and more.

Over at Heights & Co., 1343 Yale, White Linen Night celebrations include $10 Espresso Martinis until 6 p.m. and a late-night $12 Smashburger and fries deal after 9 p.m.

11th Annual OkraFest at The Lyceum

OkraFest Galveston returns for its 11th annual bash, with a wild Disco Rodeo at The Lyceum, 2401 Winnie, with VIP hours from 5 to 7 and general admission starting at 7 p.m. Dubbed the โ€œMET Gala of Galveston,โ€ the fundraiser supports Galvestonโ€™s Own Farmers Market with a farm-to-table feast from Gulf Coast chefs, including freshly shucked Prestige Oysters from the Pier 6 team, plus an open bar, silent auction, live music, cocktails from Daiquiri Time Out and more. Tickets start at $125, with VIP options available.

Sunday, August 3

Dinner and a Show with P.F. & The Flyers at Brennanโ€™s of Houston

Brennanโ€™s, 3300 Smith, invites guest for an evening featuring soulful Texas Creole cuisine and a live performance by legendary band P.F. & The Flyers, spinning classic hits from the โ€˜60s and โ€˜70s. Tickets are $65 (plus tax and gratuity), which include the show and dinnerโ€”drinks are available via cash bar. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Houston Restaurant Weeks

Houston Restaurant Weeks officially kicks off on Friday, August 1 running through Labor Day Monday, September 1. The Houston Food Bankโ€™s epic annual fundraiser invites restaurants across the city to multi-course menus fo dinner ($39 or 55), lunch ($25) and brunch ($25), with a $1 to $5 donation to the Houston Food Bank and its efforts to fight hunger across the region. This yearโ€™s restaurant list is now live, featuring featuring exciting newcomers like Barbacana and Okto, plus returning favorites from Pondicheri to longtime gem Rainbow Lodge.

Deli Month at Kenny & Ziggyโ€™s

Kenny & Ziggyโ€™s, 1743 Post Oak, and more than 40 delis across the U.S. and Canada will celebrate the 10th Annual National Deli Month this August, spotlighting classic Jewish delicatessens and raising funds for local charities. All month long, Kenny & Ziggyโ€™s will offer a $45 three-course menu benefiting Holocaust Museum Houston (includes a free museum ticket with each meal).ย
