El Segundo Swim Club Returns Just in Time for The Labor Day Weekend

Nestled in Houston's Second Ward near Turkey Bend, this hidden gem offers a relaxed alternative to the resort pool scene. After opening last summer, it was forced to close as a result of permitting issues, but El Segundo Swim Club is back just in time for the Labor Day Weekend. It channels vintage 1970’s Rio remixed with kitsch style and a laid-back, Houston vibe. Palms cover a 1,350-square-foot pool that's surrounded by private cabanas fashioned from urban industrial containers, hammocks, and plenty of beach chairs and shady umbrellas. Guests can also enjoy craft cocktails inspired by the Tropics and live DJs every Saturday and Sunday. (Photos by Doogie Roux)
