The way Thomas Sustaitas vocals range from strong and melodic to agonizingly screechy is both a beautiful and painful thing to hear. His larynx is surely paying a price for it. While his band Elysian's sound is unquestionably heavy metal, it's accessible metal easy enough on the ears for even a virgin listener to enjoy, with easily relatable lyrics. Sustaita sings of being no ones Jesus, unable to save anyone except perhaps himself. What he does offer, to anyone who will listen, is a piece of his mind.
