“Amazing Universe: The Science of Ripley’s Believe It or Not®”

How do you measure up against Robert Wadlow, the world’s tallest man? Have you ever seen a model replica of the International Space Station made entirely out of matchsticks? Or a portrait of Albert Einstein made of toast? How about the world’s smallest production automobile? You’ll see all this and more at Space Center Houston’s newest exhibit, “Amazing Universe: The Science of Ripley’s Believe It or Not®.”

The multimedia hands-on exhibit includes sections such as Extreme Biology, Cultural Practices, Gallery of the Unexpected, Perceptions and Illusions, Weird World and The Wonderful World of Ripley. According to Space Center President/CEO Richard Allen Jr., “Amazing Universe” ignites curiosity and inspires visitors to learn about science with a close-up look at meteorites, crystal growth on the International Space Station and an incredible array of artifacts from around the globe and beyond.
