In the play Incorruptible, the year is 1250 and the poor monks of Priseaux, France are having a heck of a time with their relics. The bones of St. Foy have stopped performing miracles. No miracles means no alms from the peasants to keep the monastery going. To make things even worse, the Pope’s on his way. What’s a poor monk to do? That’s when a one-eyed minstrel named Jack arrives to save the day. Unfortunately, the plan is not exactly…umm…saintly.
