Mai's Restaurant

Mai's has been serving Houston bowls of pho and plates of Vietnamese fajitas since 1978, stopping only briefly to rebuild after a devastating fire in 2010. Stay away from the mixed drinks at the flashy bar, though, and stick with classics like bun or com dia with Mai's seasoned Cornish game hen. Chicken wings are similarly well-seasoned and delightfully crispy, while the bright lotus root salad is big enough to feed a whole table.
