South Side Chicago-born rapper Chief Keef has been a hip-hop staple since his Billboard Hot 100 hit song โI Donโt Likeโ surged onto the scene and propelled Chicago drill-rap into the mainstream. Months following his first massive hit, the Chicago rapper nicknamed โSosaโ dropped another classic that would become a hip-hop anthem with the single โLove Sosa.โ
This rise to fame led to the release of Chief Keefโs debut album Finally Rich and featured artists 50 Cent, Wiz Khalifa, Rick Ross, Young Jeezy and French Montana. Keef was just 17 when all of this happened.
This massive surge eventually caught the eye of fellow Chicago native, Kanye West, who gave โI Donโt Likeโ a remix featuring Pusha T, Jadakiss, and Big Sean, who were some of Kanyeโs biggest artists under his label G.O.O.D Music. This led to Chief Keef getting a chance to showcase his melodic talents with a feature on the song โHold My Liquorโ off Westโs album titled Yeezus.
Saturday night at 713 Music Hall, Keef kickedย off the sixth show of his long-awaited tour appropriately titled, โA Lil Tour,โ as it has just 14 dates running the last weekend of October through the month of November.
Keefโs show featured two DJ sets and opening performances from fellow GLO GANG rapper Lil Gnar and the rest of the GloBoyz. Gnar and the GloBoyz joined Chief Keef on stage as the Chicago star was announced, and with him were Houston Rap Legends Trae Tha Truth, Sauce Walka, and Maxo Kream, though they did not perform with Keef.
Keef has since amassed a discography that spans over 40 mixtapes, four EPโs and five studio albums. His latest album titled Almighty So 2 was released in May and is the sequel to his Almighty So album released 11 years ago.
Keef is now a veteran in the rap game and though his latest album saw him take a more introspective and emotional tone to his music, his fans remain dedicated to his music.

Keef played all his hits, including the before mentioned โI Donโt Likeโ and โLove Sosaโ off his earlier works but made sure to reach across his entire discography of hits.
โHouston what you smoking on?โ The O-Block native asked the crowd as his smash-hit party anthem โFanetoโ cued and had the entire 713 Music Hall crowd jumping from the front barricades all the way to the highest row in the seating above.
ย At just 40 minutes and somewhat abruptly though, what ended up being the final song quickly transitioned into thank youโs and goodbyes and Chief Keef and the GloBoyz were all done.
