Shannon Walker, Westbury Astronaut: Bang, You Big Jerk, You’re In Space

This is how the Houston Chronicle treats the first homegrown astronaut? We’re appalled. Frankly.

Shannon Walker, proudly repping the Westbury neighborhood in space, is doing a blog for the Chron about the experience.

And this is the headline they give her? Calling her a jerk?

“Bang, Jerk, You’re in Space.” How rude. Or maybe something Ralph Kramden would say to his wife.

We can only hope Walker overlooks the insult and comes home.
