The theme of the show was "Powerful Women," and entries were inspired by comics, books, movies and television shows. Designs featured multiple looks, embedded lights, and even temperature-sensitive disappearing print.
Her Universe founder Ashley Eckstein appeared in a spectacular "Little Block Dress" constructed from 10,000 Lego blocks, portraying Star Wars character Ahsoka Tano (whom she voices). It was designed by artist Nathan Sawaya and designer Andrew MacLaine.
