Houstonians, transplants, and out of towners filled the NRG area Thursday night for the 2023 return of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo's World Championship Bar-B-Que Contest. The annual event begins with the Cook-off and carnival. Team tents were packed with guests, DJs, live music, famous faces and plenty of BBQ. The carnival boasted everyone's favorite foods along with rides and games. The BBQ event goes on through February 25. (Photos by Doogie Roux)
