Protest Against Governor Abbott Turns Heated in Houston

Protestors joined together on the afternoon of April 18 to protest against Governor Greg Abbott, who was delivering his State of the State address at the Hilton Americas - Houston Hotel at 1600 Lamar. Due to heavy rains, the Greater Houston Democrats called off its demonstration, but that didn't keep other groups, such as the Houston Socialist Movement, from protesting. The American Patriot Vanguard led a counter-demonstration across the street.
