On Sunday, as temperatures were beginning to warm up in Houston demonstrators assembled on the sidewalk outside Sen. Ted Cruz's house, calling for his resignation in the wake of his decision to take a trip to Cancun while thousands of Houstonians were without power and water. Organized by members of the Houston United Front Against Fascism and the Houston Socialist Movement, they also protested Cruz's role in the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol and his efforts to stop the certification of Joe Biden as the 46th President of the United States. There was no sign of Snowflake Sunday, the family dog famously left behind when the Cruz family flew to a resort hotel. (Photos by Doogie Roux)
