He/she must be able to conceptualize and produce modern, sophisticated and vibrant design for online presentations, covers, features and special sections. This individual must be an exceptionally creative designer who has experience commissioning high-quality videography, photography and illustration, negotiating fees, clearing rights and managing a budget. The art director will balance strong leadership with strong collaboration in order to thrive in a team environment.

Five years of editorial design experience is required. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to juggle several projects at once. The art director will work with and manage other designers and photographers in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Knowledge of PDF and postscript technology is beneficial.
