While Free Comic Book Day was celebrated all over the country, the Bayou City did it up right with special programming at all of our favorite hangouts, including 8th Dimension Comics & Games, Geek Life, Pop Culture Company, Third Planet and Watchtower Comics (among others). Bedrock City Comic Company had our heads spinning, with cosplayers, live music and guest artists at all five locations, but we charted our course for the Westheimer store and found the Flash, Wonder Woman and Super Man.
Special guests included award-winning artist Rob Guillory, writer and artist Kody Chamberlain, author/illustrator Dave Roman, illustrator and storyteller Falynn Koch and web-comic creator Ru Xu. Props to the cool folks from Houston Hero Headquarters and Cosplay Vogue for keeping our Marvel and DC universes real.
