3. Forest Cafe & Bakery Breakfast served daily 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Though they may not serve mimosas, breakfast is served all day at this mom-and-pop cafe and diner. And a stellar homemade breakfast at that. Come here for bigger-than-your-face breakfast burritos, plates stacked with buttermilk pancakes, eggs, and bacon, and housemade cinnamon rolls seriously smothered with caramelized bananas. Lunch plates -- like triple decker clubs, fried fish sandwiches, and grilled chicken wraps -- are available at 11 a.m. Whatever you do, just make sure to grab a latte and linger until you're ready for dessert.

2. Hubbell & Hudson Bistro & Kitchen Bistro: Saturday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Sunday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Kitchen: Saturday and Sunday 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

We were sad to see the Waterway market go, but are more than happy that the bistro and kitchen remain. Head to the H&H Kitchen for fast-casual breakfast of herb-studded soft scrambled eggs, fresh blueberry pancakes, or bagels and lox. And pick up and pop no-corkage-fee bottles of wine and beer or a hot and fresh latte while you're at it.

For a more elegant affair, linger over pineapple-infused mimosas and upscale brunch plates at the sleek H&H Bistro. Start with a fresh tomato and watermelon salad or a bright and refreshing shrimp, scallop, and lobster ceviche before moving on to a farmer's frittata, bistro burger or banana-smothered challah French toast.
